| Review: pdfMachine is an intuitive application designed to edit and send PDF files using e-mail. It is suitable for all types of users, regardless of their experience level. The interface of the program is clean and quite intuitive. PDF files can be loaded into the working environment by only using the file browser and drag and drop is not supported. Apart from previewing the documents contents in the main program window, you can select thumbnails and bookmarks, as well as using some drawing tools (eg typewriter text, text box, line with arrowhead) and edit text options (for such as font, size, border and fill styles). Many options can be configured from the Settings panel. For example, you can set the output file name, set up an automatic backup, adjust the print quality (DPI, JPEG quality), government action (eg run command line) and apply watermarks. It is also possible to edit document information (title, subject, author, keywords), insert a digital signature (certificate, certified document time stamping authority), attach external files, and import hyperlinks, among others. pdfMachine includes a help file, running on a moderate amount of CPU and system memory, and has a good response. No error dialogs have been displayed throughout our evaluation and the tool does not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
